Marietta and Leaving 1203 Arrive for Springtime in Rockville

  • 725 Beall Avenue Rockville, MD, 20850 United States (map)

Come celebrate April’s beauty with Marietta at the home of Rabbi Rain Zohav. Bringing joyful tidings and laughter, Marietta looks forward to seeing friends old and new, and you’re welcome to invite others to join our party. Leaving 1203 offers a look back at forever lessons the author relearned while emptying her beloved-by-four-generations childhood home. And, given the hardship of the past couple of years, Marietta delights in sharing 1203’s clear reminders of what really matters. This book’s simple blueprint for a better future can’t be beat—relationship, gratitude, humor, humility, sacrifice, generosity, simple pleasures? Whoa! Let’s frolic in an interactive book talk and Q&A and linger afterward. We’ll be outside so if possible pop a lawn chair in your trunk—inside with masks if absolutely necessary (Marietta’s ancestors are in charge of the weather). You’re most welcome to bring food or drinks, a favorite savored by those close to your hearts, and settle in for some storytelling. Rain has coolers, cooked specialties, cutlery, and composting. RSVP with your number of partiers and any questions (when parking, look for the wooden picket fence): rainzohav@gmail.com. Rain currently has signed copies of Leaving 1203 available and plenty more will be on hand for purchase (credit card, cash, or check) and personalizing on the big day.
